Such as the Acropolis of Athens, Mirtopolis is situated above the small village of Mirtos (hence the name MIRTO (s) (acro) POLIS), on the Libyan Sea on the South-East coast of Crete

According to Feng Shui, MIRTOPOLIS is ideally positioned: The view towards the sea in front and the olive groves and mountains on the back is breathtaking and unique. The beach (awarded with the "blue flag") is about 7 minutes on foot (donkey track) or 5 minutes by car (small road).

The small complex comprises a total of six apartments, all individually, very comfortable and richly equipped with many extras, whereof four 1-bedroom apartments, some in maisonette style, and two 2-room apartments (one maisonette-style) are available.

All units have a fully equipped kitchen at a high-grade standard (toaster, oven, refrigerator, etc.), bath / WC or shower/ WC (hairdryer available), a private, south facing patio / lawn and air conditioning / heating. Health mattresses and high-quality sheets bedding, mosquito nets and many extras are standard. Each unit also has its own stereo player, various reading material and WiFi Internet access.

All guests' can make use of a large, nice BBQ place with pizza oven / grill and sitting/eating area, bowling green and, for younger guests, a playground with sandpit, swings and slides.

L'itinéraire:

When traveling by car, you leave the airport and always follow the street sign Ag. Nikolaos. On the outskirts of Agh. N. (Intersection), follow the right hand the sign Ierapetra, which brings you after another 35 km to the southernmost city in Europe. Look here on the (somewhat insignificant) sign MIRTOS and turn right hand; which allows you to leave the busy town behind you and follow straight, along the coastal road, the direction towards Mirtos. After passing some small villages, you will reach NEA Mirtos. Attention: The journey is not finished yet! Continue another 2 to 3 kms and you will reach the sign MIRTOS; drive past the village Mirtos (left hand side is the Hotel Kastro) and, in the first right turn at the end of the village, you will see the sign MIRTOPOLIS that shows you the way left into up the mountain. Follow the signs that will lead you, simply and directly, to Mirtopolis. In addition to a good bottle of wine and some biscuits, you can expect friendly hosts and a carefully arranged accommodation.
