The restored manor house and former perfumery dating back to 1890, is situated on the outskirts of the village and is surrounded by enchanting vineyards and majestic mountains. An hour's drive from Cape Town makes it the perfect getaway for anyone visiting the Western Cape.

The Country House and Villas offers 14 luxury rooms and 12 Villas Suites. All the rooms offer features and facilities expected of a first class hotel. Almost all rooms lead out onto private balconies or private patio with magnificent views.
The Villa Suites are very luxurious, are each a 100sqm in size and boasts a fireplace, dvd player, individual satellite tv, 2 airconditioners, 2 balconies, and many more unexpected luxuries!

During summer, guests laze at one of the two pools (one heated) with beautiful mountain vistas, visit the boutique wine-farms in Franschhoek, or stroll in the charming town found by the French Huguenots.

The in house Monneaux restaurant, voted as one of South Africa's Top Restaurants, has become known for its innovative Modern French Cuisine.
A-la-Carte lunches are served on the magnificent new fountain terrace whilst dinner is served in the understated, yet elegant, dining room or enclosed verandah. The wine list emphasizes local wines that can also be enjoyed by the glass in the cozy wine bar or underground cellar.

L'itinéraire:

Driving from Cape Town on the N1 Drive out of Cape Town on the N1 past Belville & Brackenfell turnoffs. Keep on driving and pass the Winelands 1-Stop Engen petrol station as well as the first Stellenbosch turnoff after the petrol station. Take the next turnoff (nr 47) named “Stellenbosch / Klapmuts” and turn right at the stop on the R44. Approximately 600m further, pass over the 4-way stop. Shortly after the 4 way stop (400m) turn left at the Franschhoek sign. Carry on with this for road (for approx 8km) until it ends into a T-junction at which you turn right on the way to Franschhoek on the R45. This road will take you straight into Franschhoek (approximately 16km further). Franschhoek Country House is a yellow coloured building situated 1,5 km before the main town of Franschhoek on the right hand side, next to Grande Provence Wine Estate
