Luxury basement apartment in Villa with heated swimming pool within beautiful gardens

The Villa, apartment is one hours drive from Lisbon airport taking the A8 leaving at junction 17 to get to Fanadia.

The villa is located through electronic gates within a yellow painted wall with private drive leading down to the Villa apartment with large area for parking and garage.

The apartment has a large bedroom with luxury kingsize bed, double wardrobe with draws, free standing mirror and bedside cabinets. Hairdryer and towels are provided for guests. Seperate shower room with shower cubicle, toilet, sink and bidet. The apartment has a seperate utility room housing a washing machine, Iron/ironingboard, outside the apartment is a rotary clothes line for guests only use. There is a large lounge with TV, leather settee and chair with a feature fireplace and beautiful ornaments to give it a homely feel. Brass coffee table and mahogany wood side tables with a large cut glass lamp give a luxurious feel to the surroundings that guests can can relax in. The Kitchen has a cooker and fridge freezer together with seating and table looking out through the patio doors to the barbecue and gardens.

The patio door leads out onto the large barbecue area. The barbecue is charcoal but also this area houses a gas oven/ gas hob. You can enjoy your alfresco lunch or dinner cooked on the barbecue either at the large marble table and seating by the barbecue overlooking the five date palms and gardens or if you prefer at the poolside.

The garden path leads down from the barbecue area to the Roman style heated swimming pool. The pool is located within a private walled garden for complete privacy which has a three seater chair swing, sunbeds, table and chairs with sun umberellas. Peach, nectarine and a lemon tree are in this garden. Just help yourself and enjoy whilst sitting by the pool.

From the pool area steps lead to a gate to take you through the Orchard which has various fruit trees either side of the path and another gate leads past the pond with water lillies taking you to the owners private wood leading to the forest at the back of the villa. Very peaceful and quiet area with good views of the countryside. Eagles are very often seen flying above circling over the trees and surrounding countryside.

The property is located within a small quiet village with an adega and a small shop but within 10 minute drive to Caldas Da Rainha. Caldas has a daily market selling fresh fruit and vegetables together with fresh bread, olives, nuts and cakes. Caldas has a Cinema, (english latest released films with subtitles in Portugese) located within Vici shopping centre. Within this shopping centre is cafes, food hall, supermarket and various shops. Caldas Da Rainha has a lovely park with a boating lake.

Within the area there are several good resturants which offer portugese cuisine at reasonable prices. One resturant that is a must to visit if you love meat is 'O LAGAR', Salir De Matos. This restaurant cooks your meal on an inside open fire and basically tries to stuff you so full that Desperate Dan can just about manage!

A ten minute drive will take you to the wonderful medieval walled castle of Obidos which has wonderful cafes, resurants and bars. A twenty minute drive will find you at the Obidos lagoon. The amazing Foz Do Arelho sandy beach is just a short drive on. From Foz Do Arelho follow the coast road around to Sao Martino Do Porto. Certainly worth a visit for restaurants, cafes and bars overlooking the horseshoe shaped cove.

The world renowned championship Praia del Rey golf course is approx 30 minutes drive away together with Peniche the surfers paradise.

On arrival to the apartment the fridge will not be found empty!! The owner provides a complimentary food hamper consisting of milk, fruit, crusty bread rolls, olives, 2 bottles of beer and a bottle of wine.
